New World Artists are Exclusive Booking Agents for Wombat.

WOMBAT, the biggest enigma in Australian rap of the last few years, made his mark with the Night Shift EP (with Brisbane-based MC, Nerve). The EP topped the iTunes charts, featuring fan-favourite singles Run That and Survival. In the same year, the talented young MC also released 3 more singles; Watch Out, Rise Up and Whipper Snapper.

The Tasmanian MC then picked things up a gear and unleashed his break-out singles; Black Sheep, Gassed Up and When Words Fail, Music Speaks, which have accrued tens of millions of streams since their release.

With a catalogue of tracks and a rapidly growing online following, Wombat decided it was time to start touring. Firstly in March/April 2019 with Chillinit, then again in November for his debut headline tour which saw Wombat sell out multiple shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Hobart. The pace at which tickets sold was overwhelming; he broke the record for fastest sell-out in Brisbane, only to break his own record again with the second show.

2020 was a year of setbacks for many… for Wombat it meant re-scheduling tour dates, postponing releases and months of lockdown. However it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Wombat as he started the year by taking home the win at Australia’s first ever grime clash presented by No.One Network, 50/50 and Saintside. The hungry MC also linked up with one of his idols in Devlin (UK) for a collab and released 5 singles throughout the year, all of which were trending on YouTube; Bungee Cord (#15), Adrenaline ft. Devlin (#8), Kebabs (#12), Blue Lights (#13) and Bad Words (#14).

Fast track to 2021, Wombat released his first full body of work; an EP by the name of Chainsaw Man. Heavily themed around anime, the 8 track EP was released to the public on Christmas eve via Warner ADA. The EP saw Wombat have 2 videos (Merch Money & Ramen Noodles) in the top 10 trending videos YouTube trending at once.

The quick-tongued lyricist is back in full swing with his debut album What Death Tastes Like featuring 14 brand new songs. The track list boasts collaborations with some of Australia’s finest including Complete, Chillinit & Vinsins, as well as a song with one of Poland’s favourites in S?o?.
